Haven of Rest MBC in partnership with the Chicago Food Depository, operates a weekly Food Pantry. The food pantry provides groceries on a weekly basis to those who are in need. It's a blessing to be able to help families during these tough economic times. The Food Pantry staff is comprised of volunteers. The Haven of Rest Clothes Closet Ministry collects gently used clothing and other essentials throughout the year, then distribute to those in need on a quarterly basis. The Clothes Ministry offers members of the community the opportunity to sit and enjoy a warm cup of soup and a sandwich as they consider the clothing that is available for the taking. The Clothing Ministry is headed by Mr. Mark Dewberry, and operated by Haven of Rest members who volunteer their time, talents and treasures.
